We're an innovative Centre for Outdoor Learning and Nature Connection, with 14.5 acres of woodland and meadow, with a homely Victorian house on site. Thousands of children and young people come through our doors (and woods) every year, and we'd love to host your school, college or group!

Our approach

Our facilitators are Forest School trained with the addition of our own ethos. Our work has been inspired by Earth Education which imparts knowledge and experience to help inspire care for the planet and all its life forms, and we draw on a relational, person-centred approach to craft our imaginative programmes using drama, art and storytelling. We can tailor these to suit all key stages and to meet curriculum needs.

Our magical grounds offer a safe, secure site with freedom to explore 14.5 acres, with an art barn, playing field, a tree house, animals, woodlands, meadows, and wild spaces, home cooked food and a great space to stay in the Victorian house.

What makes Ringsfield special is the relational and experiential space we create for children, young people and teachers; respectful, empathic and non-judgemental. The goal is to relate to the whole child, provide the freedom to play as well as learn and be creative, to build character and to reconnect with self, each other and the world as well as provide opportunities for reflection and wonder.A good educational visit should combine these elements of physical and emotional wellbeing.

Our goal is to plant seeds for their future and that of the planet and do the deeper work of developing children and young people by Fostering the Spirit of the Child.

We hold the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge, verifying safety and quality education. You can download relevant risk assessments or policies on the ‘For teachers’ page, or get in touch to ask any questions by phone on 01502 713020, or email or
